Gampola Base Hospital is located at Gampola town, Uda Palatha Divisional secreterate in Kandy District. This hospital is providing it services with 357 beds to Gangasiripura and extended communities. This hospital was exist long before 1925. Still there are wards and building constructed in 1925. In 2001 this hospital was taken to the Line Ministry from Provincial Council. It is on a rapid development of the infra structure and the services, hence this hospital is affiliate to Medical Faculty of Peradeniya as a Teaching Hospital
